Friday, October 13, 2017 — Bill Wixey sounded a lot like Arnold Schwarzenegger, as he portrayed Professor Abraham Van Helsing in the production, broadcast live from the Triple Door in Seattle. Also pictured are John Maynard (nattily dressed announcer, standing), Ursula Reutin, Tom Tangney, Dan Restione, Jason Rantz, Jim Dever, Tim Haik, and Dave Ross (Ross played the roles of Orson Welles and Count Dracula). The original CBS Mercury Theater of the Air production was heard in 1938.

Will the Dracula Radio Theater broadcast today (10/27) be available via a podcast in case I am not able to listen “live” at 8 pm this evening. I am really interested.
KIRO usually posts these dramas on the MyNorthwest.com website.
Our family attended a taping of a live performance of a KIRO radio-play a few years back. A nice excuse for the family to get dressed up and watch how radio dramas were produced.
