Interesting to note that after CJVB 1470 Vancouver BC (a former employer of mine) signed on in 1972, KAPS had to relinquish it’s PSA authority to sign on at 6am due to interference to CJVB during the months darkness (skywave propagation) is prevalent. It reverted to sunrise-sunset operation until the change to 660 kHz & 10 kW full time broadcasting

Engineers were kept busy, testing different frequencies, coverage area etc. So many applications were applied for and rescinded. Some stations more than others. Also, interesting that some stations considered change of COL in the process. This collection provides hours of reading pleasure for the true radio fan within us all.
